but i don't wanna

School starts again tomorrow, and like a sulky fourth grader, I am displeased.

Never mind that I (usually) like school. That would be the rational half of my brain talking, the side which is entirely drowned out by the more vociferous objections of my subconscious.

No, this side of the brain is more concerned with reading books in the sun, or hiking, or doing not much of anything. It is unconcerned with working or studying.

Alas, I have discovered a sad aspect to an otherwise wonderful concept. It ends!

The way you feel about the new semester is the way I feel about going back to work on Mondays, even though I really like my job. It's just that side of your brain wanting to cavort in springtime playing tricks on you. =P

I feel your pain. Or, I should say, I felt it a week ago. The first week back was like a slap in the face. Then, this past weekend, I quickly reverted to my spring-break self and nearly forgot all about law school for most of the weekend. Probably not a good plan so close to finals, but hey, we cope the best we can.

I hope your return is smooth and you find yourself getting back into the swing of things easier than you anticipated.
